Job Description:

As a key member of the Accounting and Finance department, the Accounting Manager will help guide financial decisions by monitoring and enforcing both internal and external policies and procedures. Duties will include, but not be limited to, monthly close process/analysis, tax compliance (both domestic and international), fixed asset oversight, assessing internal controls, conducting internal and supporting external audits, assessing current processes/procedures, assisting with developing annual budgets and monthly forecasts and directing the executive team on current gaps, best practices and opportunities for improvement.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly closings ensuring timely completion and compliance with appropriate GAAP standards, regulatory and business requirements
  • Validate fixed assets are recorded accurately and timely
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and guidelines
  • Participate in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
  • Develop and present financial reports to CFO and other senior managers.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision making

 

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant Accounting experience in a General or Senior Accounting role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP, regulatory accounting, and reporting requirements is required
  • Strong background in developing and implementing operational controls
  • Strong computer skills including ERP, reporting systems, etc.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Prior managerial experience is preferred
  • Analytic skills: Ability to think analytically and objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities to effectively interface and communicate across the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to create timelines, manage budgets, and allocate resources.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented individual willing to assist wherever needed to ensure the team provides accurate and timely financial information.
  • Ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

 

Bonus Skills/Experience:
  • ESOP experience is a plus.
